WALK-A-THON 2012
FACT SHEET

PLEASE CONTINUE TO GET SPONSORS FOR THIS YEAR’S WALKATHON.  LAST YEAR WE SPENT $7,700 TO BUY TWO KINDERGARTEN READING KITS AND SUPPLEMENTARY READING MATERIALS FOR GRADES K-5. THE EXTRA MONEY WE COLLECTED WAS PUT TOWARD OUR BILL FOR PAINTING THE OUTSIDE OF OUR PRIMARY WING.     REMEMBER THIS YEAR WE ARE GETTING A NEW AWNING AND NEW DESKS FOR YOUNGER STUDENTS WITH WALKATHON MONEY.

Some of our parents will be asked to fill out surveys about their feelings about catholic schools.  The Diocese of Rockville Centre has asked St. John’s University to make up the survey and compile the results.   If you receive one, please fill it out and return it by may 25th.

TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK

This week is Teacher and Nurse appreciation week.  We are thankful for our teachers and Nurse Ramgatie for all they do for our students. 

WE ARE SELLING DUCKS TICKETS at $10 each for the evening of June 5^th. the glee club will sing a few songs before the national anthem………we would love a big crowd to stay and enjoy the game.     we will begin selling tickets next week.

 Please note that all tuition accounts must be paid by  May 31^st.  

We have created a link to POWER SCHOOL PARENT PORTAL on our homepage to provide easy access to students' current grades.  Once on the page to view your child's grades, please remember to click on the dash next to the course 's name you wish to view.
POWER SCHOOL PARENT PORTAL closes at the end of each trimester in order for the faculty to enter final trimester grades.

I M P O R T A N T!   -----  Starting this year, ALL students must be registered with their local school districts in order to receive Textbooks from BOCES. Even if a student is not receiving transportation form their school district, the student must be registered since the school district is paying for the books.

This will mainly concern KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS, students that have not received transportation services in the past, and students whom have previously not registered with their local school districts. The fact that a student may have received books from BOCES in the past does not mean that the same student will automatically receive books in the fall.

They must register or be sure they are registered with their district in order to receive books in September. 

LOBEL'S IS SELLING SOME VERY WARM FLEECE JACKETS AND AN OLOP HOODIE AT REASONABLE PRICES.  We are sending home order blanks  today and you can veiw the jackets at our website.  Jennifer, Emma and Brandon were great models!

Our Boxtops for Education Contest is starting again…  REMEMBER CAMPBELL’S SOUP PRODUCTS ARE ALSO COUNTED.  Who will win in March????  We need everyone’s help to make this successful! SO PLEASE CHECK TO SEE IF THE BOXTOP LABEL IS ON ANY FOOD PRODUCT.  WE ARE SENDING HOME A LIST OF BOXTOPS PRODUCTS.
