Message from the Principal

Welcome to October!  We have a lot going on here:  4th and 7th grades have taken the CoGats this week, and next week the IOWA tests begin for grades 2 through 8.  Please see that the children get a good night’s sleep and have breakfast before coming to school.  Our parent coordinators are busy organizing the Fall Festival which will take place on Thursday, October 30th right here at school.  Hope to see you there! On Monday evening, October 6th, at 7PM, we will be having a parent club meeting to continue planning for the festival.  Please join us-we need YOU!!

As always, thank you for the sacrifices you make to give your children a Catholic Education and for entrusting them to our care.

Sincerely,
    Sharon Swift
    Principal
In order to do photo retakes on Monday, November 3, 2014, students need to bring the old package with them and give it to the photographer.   New students taking pictures, please request an order form at the school office.

The National Junior Honor Society has chosen its new officers for this year.  Congratulations to the new President, Brandon Birsner;  Vice President, Olivia Pannell; and Secretary, Emma Birsner.

For its first project, the Honor Society will be sponsoring a fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors .  Beginning November 12th, members of the Honor Society will be visiting classrooms to collect  donations for  soldiers who risked their lives during  military service.  Please join together to honor these men and women  with pride, prayers,  and generosity.

Parents, we ask your continued help and cooperation in ensuring that your children are doing their homework and getting enough sleep.  These things are imperative to their success in school.  Ask your children about the “Principal’s Homework Challenge!”

If you want to be a chaperone on a class trip or come to school for various events, we need the following:
1. You need to fill out a volunteer application so we can do a background check.  This only reveals if you have had charges against you involving children.  THIS MUST BE DONE IN ORDER TO KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE.   Please fill out the form and return it to school ASAP.  If you have filled it out before, you do not have to do it again.
2. VIRTUS TRAINING - If you have not attended a Virtus Training, you may not be a volunteer. Please see attachment.
